Hi! I’m a second-year PhD student at the University of Chicago, studying computer science education with Diana Franklin and the CANON lab. I am supported by the NSF CSGrad4US fellowship.
I’m interested in understanding and improving student interest, belonging, and confidence in college-level theory courses. Currently, I’m researching the impact of culturally-relevant curriculum in these courses. Broadly, I care about improving equity and access within CS education as a whole.
Previously, I graduated from Harvey Mudd College with a B.S. in CS/Math. During my undergrad I developed curriculum and taught CS for some great organizations including the Prison Education Project, STEAM Coders, and Girls Who Code.
